MPACT Motorsports Becomes the First Team Racing the New E90 BMW Chassis in a Pro Series in the US

Murray, UT (March 14, 2006) - MPACT Motorsports is pleased to announce that it became the first team to run the 2006 BMW E90 325i in a pro series in the US. The team ran their Moton/Ground Control car in the Hankook United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) on March 12, 2006 at the A1 Grand Prix of Nations event at Laguna Seca Raceway. The car finished seventh in its first outing.

2005 USTCC Rookie Dale Sievwright was behind the wheel of the car built by Mpact and TC design. In his rookie season with a new team, Dale scored 3 top 5 finishes in 4 races with a best result of 2nd at the Inaugural San Jose Grand Prix street race. Dale will be gunning for the USTCC Driver’s Championship in 2006.

Afterwards Sievwright said, “It was really hard to find the balance of the car in a car that had seen little testing. After getting used to being in the front, it is very frustrating to be in the middle of pack. But the future is bright for the car. With the help of Ground Control and Moton Shocks, we feel that the BMW E90 chassis could be one of the best handling cars in the series.”
