Sycamore, IL. July 13, 2009 -- Stack, a global leader in motorsports instrumentation and data acquisition, has announced the creation of the Stack the Competition award for the Nitto Tire US Touring Car Championship (USTCC) teams. The special award will be given to one USTCC driver at each of the remaining 2009 West Coast races that shows the determination to win by Stacking the odds to his or her advantage. The recipient of the award shall receive a special Stack product at each venue. The awards include legendary products such as the ST8100 Race Dash Display. This small lightweight carbon composite display can replace a tachometer, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, fuel pressure gauge, voltmeter, and oil temperature gauge. Other awards such as the 52mm Pro Control Stepper Motor Analogue gauges are user configurable with maximum and minimum alarms that can be set with one of seven different colors to indicate status.
“When racing wheel to wheel, one does not have time to look at their gauges often, so the information drivers gain from these periods is critical. Packaging in today’s race vehicles is crucial not only to installation but also to function and we design our products with a synergy of those key requirements in mind. Stack offers high tech systems to address the data monitoring needs for most racers from the club level to professional including instruments, data acquisition, and harsh environment digital video recording equipment, “ said Kris Carlson, North American Sales Engineer for Stack. “The Nitto US Touring Car Championship is a great venue for us with a variety of cars and teams. Motorsport has been our core market since the company’s founding 25 years ago and we are pleased to be able to give back to the community that supports us,” added Carlson.
Stack is a leading supplier of solutions for data acquisition in Motorsport with over 25 years of proven experience and service and is based in England.
