Hartanto Scores 4th Win of Season at Miller

Tooele, UT -- The team of Andrie Hartanto and Tom Lepper scored their fourth win of the season at Round five of the Nitto Tire United States Touring Car Championship at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah driving the Red Zone Performance Acura TSX. Pete Bovenberg drove a new MBO Motorsports Chevrolet Cobalt SS to score his best finish of the season with a second place finish. Finishing third in his first USTCC race was Owen Trinkler in the Cruise America Mini Cooper S.

They said that at Miller Motorsports Park, boosted cars have a big advantage. It was for this reason that Bovenbeg decided to use the Chevrolet Cobalt SS with its turbocharged engine over his usual Honda Civic. While several of the normally aspirated cars were having problems making horsepower at the high elevation, Hartanto did not seem to have any problems. He started on pole position and was quickly passed by Bovenberg in the opening laps. It looked like a difficult day for Hartanto but he quickly regained the lead and started to pull away from the second place Bovenberg. Bovenberg was pulling away from the cars behind him as well which meant that the best battle on the track was for third place. Trinkler held on to third place but right on his rear bumper was the Stevens Creek Dodge SRT-4 of Curt Simmons.

Andrie Hartanto won the Go Pro Hero award and won a Motorsports HERO camera for his outstanding drive.

Michael McColligan won the Stack the Competition award for the teams hard work throughout the weekend to get the Mazda RX8 going, winning Stack professional gauges in the process.

Rich Peterson won the AEM award, winning an AEM wideband air fuel gauge for his speed improvement over the course of the weekend an finishing in fifth place.

Vince Parker won the Team DI Impressive Drive award winning a Team DI pair of Nomex driving gloves. Andy Chittum won the second Team DI Impressive Drive award and won a Team DI helmet bag for his efforts.

Owen Trinkler won the Dupli Color Top Rookie award with his third place finish in his first race with USTCC.
