Pete Bovenberg Wins from Pole, Captures Title at Infineon Raceway

Pete Bovenberg wins from pole and captures the title at the same time Pete Bovenberg was the fastest driver in every session and started the race from pole position on his way to winning the Nitto Tire United States Touring Car Championship race at Infineon Raceway on October 10, 2010. Bovenberg, driving the MBO Racing Honda Civic, started alongside his teammate, Curt Simmons, who was driving the Stevens Creek Dodge SRT-4. The race got started with a great start by Bovenberg who took the lead and never looked back. Finishing in second place was Simmons in the Dodge followed by Felipe Cabezas, driving the TNI Racing Mazda MX6. Cabezas also won the Dupli Color Rookie of the Race award.

Felipe Cabezas, driving the TNI Racing Mazda MX6, was the highest placing rookie in the race, earning him the Dupli Color Top Rookie Award.
Pete Bovenberg won the Go Pro Hero award and won a Motorsports Hero camera for his outstanding effort towards the win.
Niki Tam won the AEM award for getting into a new car and coming back to the series.
Felipe Cabezas won the Stri Gauge Your Performance award and received a Stri Racing boost gauge.
Curt Simmons won the Team DI award and won a helmet bag and balaclava for starting in the back and finishing on the podium.
Ironclad Performance Wear provided the podium finishers with mechanics gloves while Bovenberg also received a set of their Nomex driverís gloves.
Optima Batteries, the Ultimate Power Source, presented a special award to the top three finishers on the podium presenting each of them with a brand new Optima battery.
Skyy Vodka helped with the celebrations at the podium.
