Livermore, CA -- TurboHoses Motorsports announced today that they will be racing in the Nitto Tires United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) GT class in 2013. Rob Rodriguez has been selected as the team driver.
TH Motorsports, the racing division of TurboHoses R&D, will be responsible for fielding the car. TurboHoses R&D is a diverse company which manufactures: high-performance silicone hose for turbocharged and military applications, race engine building and ground up design of elite specialty vehicles.
In addition, TH Motorsports division is renowned for the support, service and racing of the Noble M400, Rossion Q1 and vehicles/chassis of famed designer, Lee Noble. The Noble M400 street car uses a twin turbocharged V6 engine that puts out 425 hp. With a light weight fiberglass body, the M400 was one of the quickest cars you could buy at the time. The USTCC race car version of the M400 cranks out 500 hp.
Rob Rodriguez of Danville, California has been selected by the team to be the driver for the 2013 season. Rodriguez was selected for his extensive racing experience in all types of professional racing including TransAm and World Challenge. In pre-season testing Rodriguez has shown great speed and is expected to finish on the podium.
TH Motorsports has been looking for a suitable racing organization where they can test the high performance parts that they engineer and manufacture for all Noble cars. Hoover Chan, team Principal of TH Motorsports, said, “The USTCC is a great place to showcase the performance of the Noble M400. The USTCC’s balance of professional racing with their rules to keep costs down as much as possible coupled with great race events is difficult to turn down.”

The USTCC is a professional road racing series comprising of late model sport compact sedans such as BMW 3 series, Mazdaspeed 3, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Honda Civic and others. The cars use slightly modified engines and highly modified suspensions with aerodynamic ground effects and sticky Nitto race tires.
