Performance Technic Announces a Full Season of Racing
in the USTCC with TNI Racing
PTech BMW E46 M3 to be piloted by Doug Makishima

Pleasanton, CA– March 8, 2013 -- Performance Technic (PTech) and TNI Racing have announced that they will partner for the full 2013 racing season in the Nitto Tires United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC). PTech will be providing a newly built BMW E46 M3 chassis and will focus on the mechanical set up and car preparation with trackside support from PTech technical director, Matt Mederios. TNI Racing will provide the weekend management, crew and logistics, alongside its two Mazdaspeed 3s. TNI driver Doug Makishima has been tapped to campaign the PTech/TNI Racing BMW M3 entry.

“The passion and skill of PTech’s group is a perfect match with TNI Racing’s never-say-quit, dogged determination,” said Ron Valtierra, TNI team owner. “The combination of Ptech’s BMW E46 chassis expertise with TNI’s racing savvy makes this team effort one to watch over the course of the 2013 USTCC racing season,” continued Valtierra.

“TNI Racing’s impressive racing experience and track record with the USTCC will make this collaboration a winning partnership in 2013,” said Performance Technic owner, Joe Gaffey. “Since we opened our doors in 2009, it has been a dream to race. Matt and I started from the ground up and now offer a very high level of BMW service and performance work to our loyal customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The time is right for us to make the transition into professional racing, and we are honored to be involved with TNI Racing.”

“The M3 is our largest client base. We maintain well over a hundred of these cars all around the Bay Area,” said PTech’s Matt Medeiros. “With our growing list of track-minded customers, it makes a lot of sense for us to race. We need to keep moving forward, and motorsports is the next step. Our team at PTech has mastered the E46 chassis, and we have the skillset and passion to build a competitive race-prepped E46 M3. I look forward to the USTCC season and working with TNI Racing.”
