Plastex easily repairs stripped threads, glues, fills gaps and can remake tabs or small parts in minutes. Plastex is a revolutionary product that can make difficult repairs quick and easy making it an ideal product for the racing environment when time is usually working against you. Plastex is a powder and liquid that when mixed becomes a plastic that can be sanded or drilled.
Plastex works on most all composite materials including fiberglass, carbon fiber and phenolics, most all hard plastics including urethane, ABS, PVC, acrylic, FRP and even nylon. If the need arises Plastex also has a product for polyethylene and polypropylene called Plastex 3000.
“We have been involved in racing for over 40 years and USTCC is a great fit for Plastex products,” said Tim Lewis, President of Plastex. Plastex products have been used in many forms of motorsports in the past with great success such as off road racing and motorcycles. At each of the USTCC races, the driver that demonstrates that they have done the impossible repair shall win the Plastex Master Tech kit.
