Napa, CA, January 24, 2014 – The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) GT class teams will have an extra incentive to use Yokohama racing slick tires in 2014 with a large contingency program announced by Yokohama and its USA racing distributor, Trackside Performance.
The USTCC GT class is for sports cars and high powered touring cars such as BMW M3, Chevrolet Camaro, Honda S2000, Porsche 911 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. The teams are excited to use basically the same Yokohama slicks as the ones used on the FIA World Touring Championship cars.
Yokohama and Trackside Performance are offering free tires for the eligible top finishers in the GT class paying down to seventh place with 10 or more starters in class. In that scenario, the first place and second place finishers shall win two free tires and third place through seventh place shall each win one free tire.
Teams wishing to participate in the program are urged to check with USTCC and Trackside Performance for the details on the program.
