Another one-two finish

Buttonwillow, CA – Ali Arsham, driving the GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe finished second in the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) round 7 at Buttonwillow Raceway on October 17, 2021. Arsham finished right behind his teammate Gary Sheehan, who was driving another Hyundai Genesis Coupe. This was the team’s second consecutive 1-2 finish.
Arsham did not have it easy in qualifying and was trying to deal with a new track configuration that he had never driven before. “The configuration was difficult to deal with for me. The car seemed to understeer a lot in certain sections and oversteer in some of the higher speed corners. I was hitting close to 140 mph on the back straight which was a lot of fun,” said Arsham after the race.
At the end, it was the team’s second consecutive 1-2 finish.
The team looks forward to the final race of the season next month at Thunderhill Raceway with a two hour long double points race that will decide the championship.
